Good Sunday afternoon, gang!
Though it is the international break, there was plenty of news in the Inter Miami sphere.
Before the Herons take on the Philadelphia Union this Saturday at Chase Stadium, here’s a quick recap of every headline you might have missed over the last week and a half.
Messi to Return to Action Within The Next Two Games

According to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Lionel Messi will return to the pitch for Inter Miami within the next two games.
The men in pink have a hefty upcoming schedule, with two matches in four days. First, they’ll take on the Union this Saturday and then travel to Atlanta United on Wednesday.
In all likelihood, Messi could be back in action vs. the Union. Unfortunately, Atlanta plays on turf. With Messi returning from a lengthy ankle injury, it would be wise for Miami to give him some minutes at home on a natural grass surface.
Luis Suárez Retires in Style. Plus, a Possible Hint About His Inter Miami Future?

After 143 appearances and 69 goals, Luis Suárez has retired from the Uruguayan National Team.
In a lovely display put on by the fans, “Lucho” was showered with praise after the striker decided to hang up his international boots:
One interesting thing to note: In a video tribute sent in by Suárez’s friends and family, Messi may have let the cat out of the bag regarding the Uruguayan’s future in Miami:
“This is the end of a very important chapter in your career, but hopefully there are many more years ahead in football. I’m happy that those years will be here [Miami], that we get together again on the same team and enjoy each day.”
Now, I’m not reporting anything here, and this is purely speculation, but when Suarez initially signed for Miami it was on a single-year contract. Given his MVP-level performances for the Herons this season, Miami’s front office is probably considering extending his stay in South Florida.
It’s wait-and-see mode at the moment.
Inter Miami Set To Sign Temporary CJ dos Santos Replacement
Per several reports around the team and sources of mine, Miami is set to sign 38-year-old Argentine goalkeeper Oscar Ustari.
After backup keeper CJ dos Santos went down with a broken hand, Miami needed to fill in the spot behind Drake Callender.
Ustari will sign for four months, which will conclude at the end of the MLS season.

What about Angel Di Maria? Will he be joining Miami? Man, that would almost be too much.
Not this year, no. He's still at Benfica.
