Inter Miami ended preseason, surprisingly, going undefeated as manager Javier Mascherano looks to prep the team for a busy 2025.
With the Herons set to partake in the Club World Club, CONCACAF Champions Cup and the Leagues Cup, a proper preseason for new signings to get acclimated was key.
The team embarked on a multi-country “Americas Tour” which featured matches in Honduras, Peru, and Panama.
As the club gets set to take on Sporting KC in the Champions Cup this Tuesday, here's a quick preseason recap.

Though settling in does take time, some of Inter Miami’s signings stood out during this preseason tour.
Tadeo Allende and Fafa Picault did well in the matches that they played in.
Picault is an excellent addition to Miami’s roster, providing MLS experience and pace on a roster that was lacking speed last season.
Speaking of speed, Allende has been a revelation this preseason, showing just how well he'll be able to combine with Suárez and Messi in the final third. His goal against Orlando showed that the Argentine will be an attacking threat for the Herons in 2025.
I also want to mention Telasco Segovia who had a good debut for the Herons against as well. Though it was his first match, Segovia was technically sound, has an engine to cover ground, and will attempt to replace the Diego Gomez-shaped hole in midfield.
On Gonzalo Lujan, it’s clear that he needs time to get his fitness levels up and used to the tactical structures that Mascherano has in place. Once he’s up to speed, he’ll be a very solid player for Miami’s back line. His two short appearances during preseason aren’t enough to fully judge him as a player.
How do you feel preseason went? Let me know in the comments!
So far they look great. I was little worried about Masherano but he seems to have them on the right path. Excited for the new season!
They look good and deep. No reason for them to not win almost every game this season, esp. the ones that matter for cups. This new coach looks like he's got a better handle on it than Tata did.
