Inter Miami don’t quit, do they?
The Herons earn another win against a heated Eastern Conference rival with a 2-1 victory vs. Nashville SC.
With the return of Federico Redondo and Diego Gomez, Miami looked strong, out shooting the hosts 14 to 9. As the game went on, and Nashville looked for the equalizer, Miami stayed strong and put on a brave defensive performance.
Thanks to Tata Matino’s tactical setup and Drake Callender’s heroics, the men in pink and black were able to grind out another crucial win.
Here are Player Ratings from Miami’s match vs. Nashville.
Goalkeeping, Defense:
🧤 Drake Callender - 8.5: Came up with a big save at the end that helped Miami keep all three points.
💨 Jordi Alba - 8.7: Scored a Goal of The Week candidate all while pulling the strings from left-back.
🏋️ Serhiy Kryvtsov - 7.8: Had a solid outing at center back. No glaring issues from the Ukrainian.
🧮 Sergio Busquets - 7.9: Looked quite slow out there, but his positioning was excellent.
🍳 Ian Fray - 9: Glad that he’s back from injury. Just the type of defender Miami needs on its roster. Pleased to see him score again as well.
Midfield:
💪 Benjamin Cremaschi - 7.7: Ran his legs off and covered the ground well. Unfortunately, had one too many wonky first touches throughout the match. Did well besides that!
☀️ Yannick Bright - 7.6: The penalty giveaway spoiled an otherwise flawless night from Bright. Was strong in his tackles and plugged holes through the middle that Nashville could’ve exploited.
🐞 Federico Redondo - 7.9: Looked better than he did when he initially came back from injury. Was strong, dictated tempo, and pushed the team ahead. Looking forward to seeing him develop consistency.
Attack:
🥨 Julian Gressel - 8.4: This is why Inter Miami acquired Julian Gressel.
🛎️ Leonardo Campana - 7.8: Led the line well for the Herons, but there were a couple of moments where he probably should’ve scored.
✌️ Diego Gómez - 7.5: Welcome back from injury! His time in an Inter Miami shirt may be coming to an end, however.
Substitutes:
⛵ Ryan Sailor - 7: Did well to hinder Nashville as they pushed for a late equalizer.
🪽 Robert Taylor - 6.7: Had a couple of good runs, but didn’t impact the game too much.
🦒 Shanyder Borgelin - N/A: Didn’t play long enough to warrant a rating.
💈 David Ruiz -N/A: Didn’t play long enough to warrant a rating.
Coaching:
🔢 Tata Martino - 8: Got the starting eleven spot on. Tactically, Miami did well to absorb pressure and then hit when Nashville was vulnerable.

Good game. Another awesome corner header by Ian! Wow! Powerful shot kept down by Jordi, lesson for others how to not fly it over the goal. Lots of good saves by Callendar and he's starting to get good as the first attacker. Whole team passing with purpose and not just for possession. Argentina was good too tonight.
So proud of these guys for stepping up when the bigger players are gone. What spirit from them, love it!
