Player Ratings From Inter Miami's Revenge Match vs. the New York Red Bulls

So, Messi set another MLS record.

Um, yeah, I don’t have words for this, haha.

Inter Miami is incredibly privileged to have the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba on the team.

Every night, the four are doing phenomenal things on the pitch consistent with what they’ve been showcasing throughout their careers.

Now in MLS, they’re leading Miami, to what looks to be, a record-breaking season.

The Heron’s win against the Red Bulls was a clinical performance that will undoubtedly send a message to the rest of the league. Putting six goals past a third-place Red Bulls side was impressive.

Doing it the way that they did, however, was flat-out scary.

Here are Player Ratings from Miami’s lopsided win against the New York Red Bulls.

Goalkeeping, Defense:

🧤 Drake Callendar- 8: Looked much more comfortable in his box compared to previous matches. Didn’t have much to do, but stood firm when called upon.
🍝 Franco Negri - 7: Looked quite tired early in the match and wasn’t his usual gallivanting self. Luckily, the attack did most of the heavy offensive lifting, anyway.
🐻 Nicolás Freire - 8.3: No glaring issues tonight from the Argentine. Was firm, strong in his tackles, and kept Lewis Morgan largely quiet.
🦌 Tomas Avilés - 8.5: Covered lots of ground and partnered Freire well.
🎻 Marcelo Weigandt - 8.4: Ran his legs off and did well to quiet some of the Red Bull’s most potent attackers.

Midfield:

💈 David Ruiz - 6.7: Not his best outing. Was maybe a bit too eager going forward and left spaces behind. Ruiz is young, so he’ll only continue to get better.
🧮 Sergio Busquets - 8: Another great game from the Spaniard. Ended the match with three chances created, six recoveries, and five passes in the final third.
🥨 Julian Gressel - 6.7: Had a couple of solid progressive passes in the first half that should’ve been attempted shots on goal. Quite frankly, the German-American has played almost every game this season and deserves a rest.

Attack:

🐐 Lionel Messi - 10: LOLOLOL, just relax and enjoy the show at this point.
🔫 Luis Suárez - 10: So, I don’t know how many times I will have to retweet that gif on my Twitter account, lol.
🪽 Robert Taylor - 7: Noticeably quiet this game, but his speed stretched the Red Bull backline well in the first half.

Substitutes:

💉 Matias Rojas - 9: Unbelievable cameo off the bench. Combined well with Messi and scored two bangers that will surely be nominated for MLS Goal of the Week.
💪 Benjamin Cremaschi - 8.2: Brought hustle and tenacity off the bench and shored up the midfield when the Red Bulls attempted a late comeback.
☀️ Yannick Bright - 7.3: Was a solid double pivot next to Busquets when subbed on.
🐥 Noah Allen - N/A: Not enough time on the field to make an impact.
🛎️ Leonardo Campana - N/A: Not enough time on the field to make an impact.

Coaching:

🔢 Tata Martino - 9: His best-coached game so far. Got the subs spot on and tactically tweaked the starting eleven to stymie the Red Bull attack.
