Inter Miami made it easy for themselves in their second match of the year, dispatching the Houston Dynamo in a 4-1 win.
In a lopsided match, the Herons got on the scoresheet early thanks to Telasco Segovia.
After that, the floodgates opened, with Segovia getting a second, Luis Suárez getting his first of the year, and Tadeo Allende scoring a goal-of-the-week candidate.
Here are Player Ratings from Miami’s match vs. the Dynamo.

Goalkeeping, Defense:
🧤 Oscar Ustari - 7.5: Didn’t have a ton to do, but - once again, played the sweeper keeper role well.
💨 Jordi Alba - 7.8: Much better match compared to last week. Didn’t overlap much, but can you blame him?
🐥 Noah Allen - 8: Another great game from the youngster. Also have to point out that Allen has switched alliances to represent Greece in international tournaments.
🧔♂️ Gonzalo Lujan - 7.5: No complaints! Was strong and aggressive. He’s developing good chemistry with the rest of the defensive line.
🍳 Ian Fray - 8.9: Held down the right side well. If it wasn’t for his knee injuries, I’d see him being a starter.
Midfield:
🍝 Yannick Bright - 8: When healthy, I think Bright should be a penciled-in starter. His work rate, defensive positioning, and ability to break up play is something Miami hasn’t had since Gregore a few years ago.
🧮 Sergio Busquets - 7: Had a couple of sloppy touches that were unlike him. Fatigue?
💣 Telasco Segovia - 8.9: MOTM performance for the youngster. Between him and the imminent signing of Baltasar Rodriguez, Javier Mascherano now has the creative workhorse midfielders that will give his squad flexibility.
Attack:
🧉Tadeo Allende - 8.7: Excellent signing from Miami’s front office. Showed against Houston that his speed and physicality were much needed for this Miami side.
🔫 Luis Suárez - 9: Another year of Suárez proving the narrative wrong that his knees will hinder him.
💪 Benjamin Cremaschi - 7: Tasked with tucking in and providing support through the middle, didn’t have much to do offensively.
Substitutes:
🐞 Federico Redondo - 6.5: Had a few aggressive moments, but didn’t do anything significant.
💈 David Ruiz - 6.5: Like Redondo, the game was already out of reach for the Dynamo, didn’t have too much to do.
🪽 Robert Taylor - 6.5: A few good touches, and managed to stretch the backline a bit, but, once again - didn’t have much to do.
👶 Santiago Morales - N/A: Didn’t play enough to warrant a rating.
🦁 Leo Afonso - N/A: Didn’t play enough to warrant a rating.
Coaching:
🔢 Javier Mascherano - 8: Again, spot on with the substitutions. Was tactically fluid and picked the right personnel. So far so good for Mascherano!
